F1, Ralf Schumacher reveals who was Mattia Binotto’s favorite
Ralf Schumacher unveils former Ferrari team principal’s favorite
A few days after the end of Mattia Binotto’s adventure at Ferrari and the appointment of Frederic Vasseur as his successor, Ralf Schumacher, former driver and Mick’s uncle spoke about the relationship that the now former team principal of the Prancing Horse had with the two bearers of the Maranello stable: Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz.
“Binotto was more of a fan of Carlos Sainz, who brought him to Ferrari, and Leclerc suffered a bit,” Michael’s brother admitted in words reported by ‘FormulaPassion. For Schumacher, therefore, there is a risk that with the French manager at the helm, tensions could erupt between the Spaniard and the Monegasque, who was second overall in the last F1 championship.
Ferrari was founded in 1947 by Enzo Ferrari, in Maranello, in the province of Modena. It is involved in the Formula One World Championship, where it holds the record for the number of world Constructors’ titles won (16), and in the FIA Sport Prototypes and Endurance World Championships. The official symbol is that of the prancing horse on a yellow background, the color representing the city of Modena.
