Ferrari, Lapo Elkann’s message to Frederic Vasseur
Lapo Elkann’s welcome to the new team principal of the Maranello stable
A day after the announcement of Frederic Vasseur as Ferrari’s new team principal, who takes Mattia Binotto’s poto, the Maranello team’s VIP fan Lapo Elkann wanted to welcome the former Alfa Romeo executive.
“Welcome Fred to the Scuderia Ferrari. Good work and let’s bring home the championship,” the younger brother of Ferrari President John Elkann wrote on his Twitter profile.
Before coming to Ferrari, the French engineer was in charge not only at Sauber, then Alfa Romeo, but also at Renault.
Ferrari was founded in 1947 by Enzo Ferrari, in Maranello, in the province of Modena. It is involved in the Formula One world championship, where it holds the record for the number of world Constructors’ titles won (16), and in the FIA Sport Prototypes and Endurance world championships. The official symbol is that of the prancing horse on a yellow background, the color representing the city of Modena.
