MLB: Carlos Correa for a record: 350 million in 13 years
Shortstop was free agent, deal reached
According to reports from ESPN, Carlos Correa and the San Francisco Giants have reached an agreement. The shortstop will tie up with the franchise on a 13-year contract at a record 350 million.
It is the fourth most expensive contract in MLB history, behind only Mike Trout’s 426.5 million with the Los Angeles Angels, Mookie Betts’ 365 million agreed upon with the Los Angeles Dodgers and Aaron Judge’s 360 million contract with the New York Yankees. The first overall pick in the 2012 MLB Draft, 28-year-old Carlos Correa now becomes one of the highest-paid stars ever. He has already won the World Series once: in 2017 in an Astros jersey.
