European Cup in Obereggen, Liberatore: “I need to regain confidence.”
The best of the Azzurri commented on his test on Thursday: “Well-prepared track but I wasn’t there today.”
Federico Liberatore, who finished 20th in the European Cup slalom in Obereggen won by Steven Amiez, commented on his performance with a bit of disappointment: “I am not very happy with my run, I started with little confidence right from the first gates, I was not able to attack this wall. The track was prepared well but I was not there today.”
“It’s a very tough track,” Liberatore continued, “especially when they manage to get it wet and prepare it like this, today I have to give kudos to the organization because it turned out to be a good race. What does this track have over the others? It’s a very difficult track, there are a lot of athletes who prepare here because it’s a good testing ground for the continuation of the season.”
Next goals: “Definitely my goal is to return to excel at this track. It’s difficult because a year and a half ago I had back surgery, I changed materials, I have to regain some confidence in my means and surely the results will come.”
