Milan’s technical area director and flag bearer, Paolo Maldini, spoke about the Rossoneri players involved in the Qatar 2022 World Cup, stressing the great satisfaction in seeing them as protagonists in such an important competition.

“As far as Olivier Giroud and Theo Hernandez are concerned, they have been protagonists from the beginning, they have shown it and I must say that there is also a little pride on our part in seeing them as starters and protagonists of a team that reached the final,” admitted the former captain of the Milanese club.

“Olivier and Theo I haven’t heard from them, I’ve only heard from Rafa Leao but the others I’ve never heard from because you never know what the national teams’ plans may be, you never know what their habits are so I’ll let them enjoy this incredible moment. We will see each other here again when it’s time to see each other again,” Maldini continued.
