F1, possible return of Michael Masi

Michael Masi was race director in F1 until the Abu Dhabi GP 2021

Former Formula 1 race director Michael Masi would welcome the chance to make a return to the circus, according to former Williams and Ferrari team manager Peter Windsor. Masi currently serves as chairman of the Australian Supercars Commission.

“Masi is working in motorsport again in Australia and is also in charge of race direction. One of my friends said that if Formula 1 made him an offer, he would probably come back. He obviously made a huge mistake in Abu Dhabi. Everybody makes mistakes, but one of the arguments I hear is, ‘Would Masi be worse off than we are?’ If nothing else, he really makes decisions and is very organized,” Windsor told during a broadcast on his own Twitch channel.
