Alessandro Magro spoke on the eve of Germani Brescia-Virtus Segafredo Bologna

On the eve of the PalaLeonessa showdown between Germani Brescia and Virtus Segafredo Bologna, Lombardi coach Alessandro Magro outlined the main points on which his team will have to focus to try to overturn the odds that see the Felsina team favored, currently first with only one loss in ten games played.

“We are playing against the top of the class,” Coach Magro began, “one of the two Italian teams playing in the EuroLeague, a tournament in which every week it is possible to measure oneself against the best players and coaches in Europe. Virtus is responding excellently to the adaptation to the Euroleague and in the league has had only one setback, the one that came last Sunday, thanks also to a very deep roster, which does not allow us to know which players will be committed against us.”

“From our side, beyond the great motivation the game gives, it’s time to keep focusing on ourselves. We have to make Ryan (Taylor, ed.) and Ali (Nikolic, ed.) feel even more technically and tactically inside the team project, testing our defensive system and trying to understand where we are in our journey. We had a very good game in Venice, even if we couldn’t bring it home: against Bologna we will face another very physical team, which is an important test for a team like ours, which wants to compete in every game.”
