Foreign sirens for Vincenzo Millico

Vincenzo Millico’s experience at Cagliari is not going very well: the former Torino man has so far collected just 118 minutes in the league spread over 7 games. Two assists and zero goals the spoils. In the opportunities that Liverani has given him, he has not always managed to express his qualities and in January he could leave Sardinia.

According to the latest rumors Millico has ended up in the sights of Tenerife, currently seventeenth in the Segunda Divisiòn standings. A meeting between the entourage of the class of 2000 and Cagliari’s management is expected in the coming weeks to organize the next moves.

The scudetto won by Cagliari at the end of the 1969-70 season has remained in the history of Italian soccer. Manlio Scopigno was on the bench while the team’s star was Gigi Riva: the bomber scored 21 goals, boasting the title of top scorer for the third time in just four years. Riva ended his very long experience on the island in 1977, having scored something like 164 goals.
