Valentino Rossi gives Yamaha a wake-up call
The former MotoGp centaur is clear: “The distance to Ducati is substantial.”
Valentino Rossi does not forget his past as a Yamaha rider and at the microphones of Crash.net explains the problems of the Japanese stable, clearly beaten by Ducati in the last World Championship: “Yamaha always focuses on the balance of the bike, a bike that is quite easy and fast in the corners. But now the distance from Ducati is consistent. I have to say that Ducati in recent years has put anyone in trouble, all the Japanese houses are in great difficulty.”
The Doctor explained the difference between the two teams, “In Ducati they have an aggressive way of working, they have so many bikes on the track and everyone’s data.”
Yamaha, on the other hand, will find itself without a satellite team next season, with only two riders on the track: “The others have taken a step forward, and the Japanese manufacturers will have to decide, because the game has changed: you need more money, more people… Will they be willing? They have to understand that to win they will have to do more. Ducati is reaping the benefits of Gigi Dall’Igna’s work and now I think it is the best bike.”
