Genoa, there is also an option for Mimmo Criscito’s future
There is also an option for the future of the former Grifone captain
As it has emerged in the last hours, Domenico Criscito’s return to the Genoa jersey is getting closer and closer: the former Grifone captain in fact, after moving to Toronto in the summer, ended his Canadian adventure after six months and now could re-embrace the Rossoblù colors for the fourth time in his career.
The defender from Campania, re-contacted by the Ligurian club after the exoneration of Alexander Blessin, would be very useful to coach Alberto Gilardino, especially with a view to finding a replacement for Marko Pajac, who is still in the pits for quite some time after an ACL injury.
The idea of the Grifone’s management is to offer the former captain a six-month contract, until the end of the season, hoping for his contribution to the rise in Serie A. After the six months, the player could retire from competitive activity to begin the coaching course, with the goal of returning again to the Genoa club, perhaps for a place on the bench.
