Lewis Hamilton spends honeyed words for Mick Schumacher

British driver Lewis Hamilton commented on the new arrival at Mercedes, which has secured Mick Schumacher as its third driver, after Ferrari announced the end of its partnership with the German driver.

The seven-time world champion enthusiastically commented on the arrival of the former Haas driver to the microphones of Sport Bild: “Mick has great talent. It is a victory for Mercedes. He is a German driver. His father Michael and Mercedes were already very close.”

“Today you don’t work as closely with the third driver, it’s a lot of simulator work and not like before, although we will continue to be teammates,” Hamilton continued.

Finally, he also spoke about his future in Formula One: “It will not be for a long time, but I will stay.”
