Former French star: “I am very sad about Cristiano Ronaldo.”

Cristiano Ronaldo is not having an easy time: Portugal was eliminated at the World Cup and he is still looking for a team after parting ways with Manchester United.

Interviewed by megacasino.com, Emmanuel Petit, world champion in 1998 with France, said, “It’s a real sorrow. I’m very sad for him, he doesn’t deserve such an end after the wonderful career he had. In my opinion he should stop and reflect with himself and find himself as a footballer. It’s unbelievable what happened in Qatar: his lifelong rival Lionel Messi won the cup, but he went out in the quarterfinals.”

“I hope soccer fans and fans will remember Cristiano Ronaldo for the super career he had and not for these last few years that are a bit complicated. The rivalry between Cristiano and Messi is something magnificent, we were lucky to be able to see it live: both have inspired so many kids,” Petit concluded.

Cristiano Ronaldo is among the strongest soccer players ever. He was born in Funchal on February 5, 1985. He grew up at Sporting Lisbon, then in 2003 he was bought by Manchester United. The Portuguese moved to Real Madrid in 2009, while in 2018 he signed for Juventus. In 2021 he returned to Manchester United but things did not go so well and now the champion is looking for a team.
