“I wouldn’t accept a project if I wasn’t sure I had any chance of winning. Whether it’s 1 percent or 10 percent chance, I wouldn’t continue if I wasn’t sure,” with these words, reported by Marca, Fernando Alonso wanted to set the record straight ahead of the upcoming Formula 1 season.

“In my opinion, a realistic goal next year could be to reduce the gap with the top teams and thus get closer to them. We need to lay the groundwork for the start of this process. Formula 1 is obviously a very competitive environment, to become a champion you have to prove something special, something extraordinary. I certainly won’t back down and I am ready to give everything for the growth of the team,” Alonso enthused.
