Fabian O’Neill has lost his most important game. The former Uruguayan footballer, who in Italy wore the jerseys of Cagliari, Juventus, and Perugia, was 49 years old and had been hospitalized for several days in a Montevideo hospital, according to El Pais newspaper. O’Neill’s death was announced on social media by a post signed by his children.
In total, the talented South American wore the Cagliari jersey 120 times, scoring 12 goals, for 68 that of Nacional, with 15 goals, and for 14 that of Juve. With the Uruguay national team, on the other hand, he collected 19 appearances and 2 goals.
