The words of Pecco Bagnaia

Pecco Bagnaia has expressed his wish to one day participate in the Suzuka 8-hour race on a Ducati motorcycle, and Ducati Corse general manager Gigi Dall’Igna has revealed that he might even fulfill it.

“It’s a very nice and interesting dream. I hope I can fulfill it for him. It would not be easy, because there are some technical problems to solve to be able to do something like that. I would like to build a dream team for Suzuka. But it can’t be talked about for 2023. 2024? These are things that take time to be handled well,” the red d.g. concluded, “There is no point in participating in a race like this if there is no chance to do well,” he told GpOne.

Francesco, aka ‘Pecco,’ Bagnaia after winning the Moto2 world championship in 2018 with Sky Racing Team VR46, will make his MotoGp debut in 2019 riding the Ducati of Team Pramac Racing. In September 2020, he scores his first podium in the top MotoGP category in Misano.

The following year he switched to the factory Ducati team and finished the championship in second place, behind Yamaha’s French rider Fabio Quartararo. In 2022, in his second year with the Borgo Panigale-based Rossa, he clinched his first world title in MotoGp, at the end of a spectacular comeback over defending champion Fabio Quartararo, who during the course of the season had come as close as 91 points ahead of Bagnaia.
