Dejan Kulusevski on Juventus: “The worst thing that can happen.”

Interviewed by Sport Bladet, Dejan Kulusevski told about his move to the Premier League: “I was nervous, I would even say terrified because it was a new league where everything goes much faster and everyone is much stronger. I had played badly at Juventus and didn’t know what I was going to do. Fortunately I arrived at a club that knew who I was, I had a coach, Antonio Conte, who had wanted me a couple of years before and had faith in me. There was also the same sporting director, Fabio Paratici, who bought me at Juventus. They knew what I was capable of. I will always be grateful to them, especially the first month they helped me a lot.”

At Juventus, things did not always go so well: “In the second season I started to doubt myself, I also started to think that maybe I was not as good as I thought I was. That’s the worst thing that can happen to a footballer: when you start doubting yourself it’s terrible. I don’t deny that it was a difficult time for me, however, the difficulties made me stronger and now I’m doing great. I’m in a great club, things are going well in the national team as well.”
