Federica Brignone between regret and awareness

Fourth place in Semmering for Valle d’Aosta.

Only 3 hundredths separated Federica Brignone’s overall time from Marta Bassino’s, with the latter managing to take third place in the Semmering giant-bis by “blowing it” right away from the Aosta Valleywoman.

Brignone herself admitted her regret, but still seemed smiling in the post-race interview given to the microphones of ‘Rai Sport’: “All in all I’m happy with how it went, it’s a pity I didn’t manage to get on the podium but it was a difficult race and I think I got the best possible result. And then Marta was great, she deserved the podium.”

For the 2020 CdM champion, now, a small break: “I will think about 2023, the goal is to arrive in the best possible shape at the key moment of the season.”
