Inter, how many suitors for Dumfries: the alternatives
So many suitors for the Dutchman
In the World Cup in Qatar, Denzel Dumfries put himself even more on display than he already was. The Dutchman, who even before the World Cup had suitors on the market, showed off excellent performances with Van Gaal’s Netherlands, especially in the round of 16 against the United States where he scored a goal and dished out two assists.
On the Inter outfielder there is increasing pressure from Chelsea, which has been following him since last summer, but Antonio Conte’s Tottennham is also at the window. The Nerazzurri value the number 2 at 60 million euros, a high figure that could be reached more by the Blues than by Spurs.
The Meneghina management is therefore evaluating other profiles in case of a departure of Dumfries, for now still difficult in January. The most popular names are those of Turin’s Ivorian Wilfried Singo, back from a great season but struggling in the first part of the 2022/23 championship, Tottenham’s Brazilian Emerson Royal and the Canadian seen in Qatar, Tajon Buchanan. The possibility of a lead for Bayern Munich’s Moroccan Noussair Mazraoui has also emerged in recent days.
