Marc Marquez and Fabio Quartararo: Livio Suppo has a major concern
A genuine concern for two great champions.
Marc Marquez and Fabio Quartararo have been among the great protagonists of MotoGP in recent years, but they are both coming off difficult times: the Catalan has been battling delicate physical problems for some time, the Frenchman has been among the great disappointments of 2022. And now a highly respected insider like Livio Suppo fears that the two may never even recover.
“They are both among the strongest riders around,” Suppo told ‘MOW Magazine,’ referring to Marquez and Quartararo, “but they will have to keep fighting with their bikes, and for the world championship this could be a problem. In particular, I hope Fabio hasn’t gotten to the point where he stops believing.”
“He’s been personally putting a patch on it for several years,” Suppo added about Quartararo, “but if Yamaha continues to have all those problems in speed, his motivation could drop.
“Marc, on the other hand, has, in my opinion, lost a bit of faith in Honda,” Suppo continued, focusing on Marquez. “This is suggested by his statements and the fact that he stopped testing in Valencia early. He doesn’t seem to believe in them as much anymore, so figuring out how competitive they can continue right now is difficult.”
