“I’m pretty satisfied I must say. It’s been a long time since I last played a singles match so I didn’t know what to expect. I think the level was pretty high. It’s a matter of heart, especially when you play for Italy. When you see your teammates on the bench you have to give something more and that’s what I tried to do. Against Thiago they are always difficult matches: he is a really tough tennis player. But I think I played better in the important moments and that’s why I won.”
