MotoGp, Ducati overpower: controversy erupts in Spain
Ducati’s dominance in MotoGp causes some reactions
Ducati’s apparent dominance in MotoGp, with eight riders on the grid and the Desmosedici clearly ahead of all others, is causing discussion in Spain.
At Dazn’s ‘Cuatro Tiempos’ broadcast, Jorge Lorenzo did not mince words in describing the Borgo Panigale stable’s dominance: “I see the future of the world championship rather in Ducati red in the coming years. If they continue like this they will have the best bike in several of the next four or five years, they are two steps ahead of the others.”
According to former Jorge Martinez Aspar rider Jorge Martinez a limit should be put on the number of bikes to line up on the grid, “With eight bikes they have a lot more information than the others. I think maybe the regulations should make it so that this is no longer the case. The working method they have is different from others. On Fridays usually the Ducatis never stay in front, they show up on Saturday but especially on Sunday. I think having eight bikes is one of the big advantages.”
