Likely lineups

Fiorentina-Monza, a match valid for the 16th day of Serie A, is one of two matches to be played at 6:30 pm. On the occasion of the restart of the league, after the long break for the World Cup in Qatar that saw Argentina’s triumph, all round matches will be played on January 4.

In the last match before the break, Vincenzo Italiano’s Fiorentina, which was coming off three consecutive victories, suffered a mocking defeat at the San Siro against AC Milan. For the challenge against the Brianza team, the coach complains of some absence in the midfield – where, however, Amrabat, back from a resounding World Cup, is already available from the 1′ – and in the attack – Gonzalez and Sottil out -: precisely in the offensive reparo Luka Jovic appears favored over the Brazilian Cabral.

After the terrible mishap suffered on Oct. 27 in the Assago shopping center, Spain’s Pablo Marì is back at Raffaele Palladino’s disposal and should take the field as a starter. Rovella and Donati are out, as well as the long-suffering Stefano Sensi. The Biancorossi coach, who has summoned 26 players for the important challenge at the ‘Franchi’, seems inclined to give a chance from the 1′ to Mota Carvalho, author of a goal and two assists in the last victorious 2022 outing against Salernitana.
