Ramondino explains how they beat Virtus
Marco Ramondino, the Bertram Tortona coach, was obviously over the moon at the end of the game his team won against Virtus Segafredo Bologna. “We played as a team, making good choices and remaining lucid in the different things we did on defense against an opponent that required them. We also had significant contributions from the players coming off the bench, going on second and third offensive options in different plays with all the players employed. We had an important impact against an opponent that is a benchmark: going into the game with determination and lucidity, without allowing them to calibrate against a different size lineup was a factor, as was having repelled Virtus’ moments of great toughness in attempts to get back in touch,” he recounted.
“From me a big thank you to the crowd tonight: for me and for the players to go on the court with this enthusiasm is beautiful. I also want to thank a lot the club that allows us to have excellent players, the team is making a great effort to find compactness and continuity throughout the season,” added the helmsman of the Piedmontese.
