Monza at the last gasp: Inter stopped at 2-2
The challenge between Monza and Inter ended in a draw. The Nerazzurri, who took the lead in the 10th minute through Darmian, got their comeback after just a minute by Ciurria, who signed the 1-1 with a fine left-footed shot. In the 22nd minute Lautaro Martinez, skillful in taking advantage of Pablo Marì’s indecision, put the Nerazzurri back ahead. Inzaghi’s men persistently looked for the third goal, but it did not come.
In the second half, the pace dropped and there was a lot of play in the middle of the field. Lautaro Martinez had a chance to sign 1-3 but his right-footed shot smashed against the post in minute 84. The 2-2 goal came in the dying minutes: cross by Ciurria and winning header by Caldirola (who, moreover, grew up in Inter’s ranks).
For Palladino’s band it was the third consecutive useful result, the Nerazzurri, on the other hand, were coming off 2 consecutive victories.
