F1, Lewis Hamilton adamant about his own retirement
The Mercedes driver is adamant about his own retirement
Seven-time Formula 1 world champion Lewis Hamilton is certainly coming off a very complicated season, the first one without victories in his glorious career in the F1 circus. In fact, the Mercedes driver finished the championship in sixth position, behind even teammate George Russell, who managed to take the top step of the podium at the Brazilian GP.
In words reported by FormulaPassion, the British driver spoke about the possibility of his retirement in the short term: “I think every year you have to ask yourself whether you are willing to give as much, if not more, than you did at the beginning. Are you willing to give up all the time to prepare, train, work with the team and get results? If I get to the point where I put little motivation on the job, then that would be the time when I would feel that I no longer belong here, that I don’t deserve a position here, and to stop. So I ask myself if I am able to do these things and if I want to do them, and the answer is yes.”
