Max Verstappen on pole position in Miami. Badly for the Ferraris

Once again Max Verstappen pulls off an incredible performance in Miami Grand Prix qualifying and takes pole osition with 65 thousandths of a second ahead of Lando Norris’ McLaen and 67 ahead of Andrea Kimi Antonelli, who in his Mercedes puts out another great lap after yesterday’s sprint pole by also staying ahead of Oscar Piastri’s other McLaren. Disappointing Ferrari: Charles Leclerc is eighth, Lewis Hamilton even 12th and out of Q3.
In Q1, Nico Hulkenberg in the Kick Sauber, Fernando Alonso in the Aston Martin, Pierre Gasly in the Alpine, Lance Stroll in the other Aston Martin, and Oliver Bearnam in the Haas are eliminated. After the podium in the sprint race, Hamilton in the Ferrari was eliminated in Q2, Isack Hadjar in the Racing Bulls, Gabriel Bortoleto in the Kick Sauder, Jack Doohan in the Alpine and Liam Lawson in the other Racing Bulls were also excluded.
Another masterpiece in Q3 by Verstappen, who takes the 43rd pole position of his career, the third of the season, the second consecutive in Miami.
The world champion with a significantly inferior car is holding his own against the McLaren duo, but Antonelli was once again great in a qualifying session and is now called for confirmation in the race as well.
Fifth is George Russell in the other Mercedes, sixth and seventh Carlos Sainz and Alexander Albon in the Williams, ninth Esteban Ocon in the Haas and tenth Verstappen’s teammate in Red Bull, Yuki Tsunoda.
