Genoa, in the crosshairs a former Psg: the dream is to bring him back to Italy
The red and blue club is thinking about a former Psg.
Genoa is thinking about a high-sounding coup for the three-quarter: in fact, the Grifone management is continuing to work ahead of the winter soccer market window, to enable coach Alberto Gilardino’s squad to aim with even more strength and conviction for direct promotion to Serie A.
The latest name for the Genoese lineup is that of Javier Pastore, an old acquaintance of the Italian league with the shirts of Palermo and Roma, without forgetting his parenthesis at Paris Saint-Germain between 2011 and 2018.
The Argentine, at Elche since 2021, communicated through his social profiles his farewell to the La Liga club: “I was able to personally say goodbye to my former colleagues and all the people who work for Elche (thank you very much for the respect and every moment spent with you). On the one hand I thank you for all the affection shown every day and for the treatment given to my family, on the other hand I tell you that on the field it was not the year and a half I wanted…I could not do my soccer and so I am sorry, in these cases the responsibility is never one person’s but that’s how it was and I am really sorry…you deserve the best. I embrace you with great affection and wish you a 2023 of great satisfaction.”
Pastore would therefore represent an interesting track for Genoa management, which could try to convince the former Elche man with a salary that would be around 500,000 euros per season.
