A son of art begins his adventure with the Red Bull Academy

The very young driver born in 2005 Sebastian Montoya, son of seven-time Formula 1 Grand Prix winner Juan Pablo Montoya, is ready to begin his adventure with the Red Bull Academy. The Colombian has been under the Red Bull brand since last season but, as stated by Helmut Marko although there has been no official announcement yet, he will compete in Formula 3 next year with Red Bull’s Official Junior Team.

“I am excited to announce that I am now part of Red Bull’s Official Junior Team. Last year I joined the brand’s athletes and now we will be working together for the ultimate goal: F1,” the son of art wrote in a post circulated through his Instagram profile.

It was Sebastian Vettel who was the first driver to win a world championship with Red Bull. The German put everyone in line for four years in a row, from 2010 to 2013. The Austrian stable returned to success in 2021 thanks to Dutchman Max Verstappen, with the son of art repeating the following year. If there was a battle to the last in 2021, that was not the case in 2022.
