Inter, Simone Inzaghi’s hope for Barella and Calhanoglu
The Nerazzurri coach’s hope for the two midfielders
Inter coach Simone Inzaghi spoke to the microphones of the press present at the San Siro after his team’s comeback victory over Parma in the match valid for the round of 16 of the Coppa Italia.
The Nerazzurri coach underlined his hope for the recoveries of Barella and Calhanoglu, who came off injured against Monza, ahead of Saturday’s Jan. 14 challenge against Hellas Verona: “We had a few little problems, now we are focused for Saturday’s challenge with a healthy Verona who will play an important match. There is confidence for the unavailable players, but there are still three days left until Saturday and we will monitor their condition knowing that there are close matches and we need everyone.”
“Everyone is needed. Rotations are limited with Barella and Calhanoglu out and Mkhitaryan on his third game in a week. We had to adapt but I am satisfied with the performance. We are Inter, we were playing in front of an important crowd and we wanted to go ahead in a tournament we won last year.” continued the former Lazio coach.
