Kronplatz, double giant
New schedule change for the Women’s Alpine Ski World Cup. The Czech resort of Spindleruv Mlyn, which was scheduled to host a giant slalom on Saturday, Jan. 28, and a slalom on Sunday, Jan. 29, has announced that it will forgo the race between the wide gates because it will not be able to prepare the race course given the high temperatures, and instead will hold the canceled slalom on Thursday, Jan. 5, in Zagreb, thus keeping the two competitive events.
Instead, the giant slalom he will skip in the Czech Republic will be brought forward to Wednesday, Jan. 25, in the South Tyrolean resort of Kronplatz, where another giant slalom is already scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 24. This will make two dates on the challenging Erta slope, following the three-day event in Cortina d’Ampezzo from Friday, Jan. 20 to Sunday, Jan. 22.
