Paci returns to Rieti

Npc Rieti announced it has signed Paolo Paci from Fortitudo Bologna (A2 series Red round). Born in Chivasso on July 5, 1990, a 208 cm and 101 kg center, he grew up basketball-wise in Junior Casale Monferrato, a club with which he also made his senior debut. After his experience in Cecina, he lands in Omegna: he stays in Piedmont from 2011 to 2014, winning the Serie B championship. During his career he also wears the jerseys of Siena, Mens Sana side, Jesi, Imola, Roseto and Salerno, before joining Caserta in A2 series: 8 points and 5 rebounds average per game. The following year he was in B, with Rieti’s other city club, RSR, touching promotion. He returned to the second national series by wearing the Urania Milano jersey last year: in 30 appearances he scored 8 points per contest while capturing 5.4 rebounds on average. He started the season in Fortitudo Bologna jersey: in 10 minutes of average usage he put together 2.6 points and 2.4 rebounds per game.

“I’m happy to have had this opportunity, I’m obviously sorry to have left a team because it’s never nice to leave a place, but the time had come because there were no more chances to do well and therefore, I jumped at this opportunity to come back to Rieti, because I’ve already been to Rieti,” Paci said. “I also said to myself; since the first time didn’t go as I hoped, I have to try again, because I can’t stay with a bitter taste in my mouth towards a city. I am charged up because our goal we know, the club knows, the boys know, I know that I am coming; I will try to help the team the best I can with all my energies, positive energies, new energies that come to serve the city, the coach and the fans. We must and we still have the task of achieving this goal that is very important for us.”
