Carlo Pernat speaks out on sprint races in MotoGp
The words of Carlo Pernat
Carlo Pernat, interviewed by Corriere dello Sport, had his say on the introduction of sprint races in MotoGp.
“For me doing them in all 21 in Grand Prix is not a good idea. Formula 1 does six a year and MotoGP should have done something similar: next year the riders will do 42 races. It seems to me an exaggerated move that creates problems. They can be a good solution but not now and not in this way.”
“In motorcycling there are still real fans who should be satisfied in other ways,” he added. “In the current situation of things it would be useful if at least the short races were broadcast on free-to-air TV. The current economic situation has probably generated a gut decision, which is often not the solution.”
