Cristiano Ronaldo re-embraces Carlo Ancelotti
CR7 visits his former club
Cristiano Ronaldo is returning to Real Madrid… albeit as a mere visitor. In fact, the Portuguese champion, fresh from his multimillion-dollar signing at Al-Nassr, took advantage of the Blancos’ trip to Saudi Arabia for the Spanish Super Cup by immediately going to seek greetings from Carlo Ancelotti, the coach with whom he won, among other trophies, the Champions League in the 2013/14 season.
“One of ours: thanks for the visit, Cristiano,” Ancelotti himself wrote on his social profiles, accompanying the sentence with a photo of the two.
Real Madrid defeated Valencia, coached by Gennaro Gattuso, on penalties to qualify for the final of the tournament being played these days at King Fahd Stadium. On Sunday, Jan. 15, the final, the classic one against Barcelona, which in turn, again on penalties, defeated Betis Sevilla in the semifinals.
