Federica Brignone commented happily to the microphones of Rai Sport on her 21st career World Cup success, which came after her triumph in the SuperG in St.Anton, Austria. “Twenty-first victory… big spree! – joked the skier from Valle d’Aosta -It was my second goal of the season after the 50th World Cup podium and I am really satisfied not only with the race but with how I skied, and with my attitude.”

“I’m happy with how confident I was from the middle of the slope onward,” continued Azzurra, “and that’s what satisfies me more than the result, more than the victory. I started very determined, I skied not great before the Ice Fall where I took a bump and I thought I threw the race away. I took advantage of my giant racer qualities, combined with my sprinter qualities. Now I have other goals, but my list has Italian races and Worlds in my sights. If I strike like this I can really enjoy myself.”
