Serie B: De Rossi beats Inzaghi, Cheddira sinks Pecchia
Claudio Ranieri’s debut on Cagliari’s bench good, while Pisa falls to surprise at home against Cittadella
After the long Christmas break, the cadet league reopened with the first matches of the 20th round, waiting for eight more teams to take the field between Sunday and Monday. Needless to say, there was no shortage of surprises at all, with Daniele De Rossi’s Spal surprisingly defeating Reggio Calabria’s ‘Granillo’ thanks to an own goal by Gagliolo. Spectacle, but only by the hosts, in Bari, where a wild Walid Cheddira made 3 in the first half alone, annihilating Parma, which in the final also cashed in on the poker signed Salcedo.
While in Pisa Cittadella accomplished the day’s feat by conquering the field of the highly-launched Pisa, in Cagliari Claudio Raneri ruled Moreno Longo’s Como without too much trouble, with one goal per time, thus wetting his debut on the Sardinians’ bench with a victory. Finally, in the last match on Saturday, Frosinne beat Modena, returning to +6 on Reggina.
