F1, Magnussen operated: ‘Severe pain in one hand’
Danish driver will not be at Daytona in February
Kevin Magnussen is forced to have surgery on one hand due to a troublesome cyst. Breaking the news is the Haas driver himself: “I had a lot of pain in my wrist, so I went to get it checked. They found a cyst in the wrist, and it needs to be removed as soon as possible so that I can be ready for the start of the Formula 1 World Championship. A harmless procedure, but it will force me to rest for a few weeks.”
The Danish driver will be forced to skip the 24 Hours of Daytona, which he had planned to do: “At this point I would say it is unlikely to see me on the track in Daytona at the end of January. For Formula 1 there should be no problem.”
