Return to the bench after only two games since previous exoneration.

Pep Clotet is once again the coach of Brescia. Announcing his return was the Lombard club itself, which simultaneously exonerated Alfredo Aglietti. The latter had taken the Catalan coach’s place on December 21: since then he had collected a point in only two games (a home draw with Palermo, before this Sunday’s knockout on the field of Südtirol).

“After a day of meetings and reflections followed by technical discussions, and given the temporary unavailability of the Sporting Director for personal health reasons, Brescia Calcio has decided to reassign the technical guidance of the First Team to Pep Clotet,” reads the statement from the biancazzurra club.

“We thank Alfredo Aglietti and all his staff for their availability wishing him the best of luck in the continuation of his career. Also reinstated Daniele Gastaldello in the role of assistant coach and Salvatore Sciuto in that of athletic trainer,” Brescia added.
