Ferrari, Carlos Sainz: “I want to be a consistent driver again, I struggled in 2022”

Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz in an interview with the official Formula 1 website sent a clear message to the team in Maranello and the new team principal, Fredereic Vasseur: “To compete we will have to improve the car. And I will have to improve, especially in the first part of the season and in the races.”

The Iberian’s main goal is continuity, which was lacking in 2022: “And a car that for some reason did not fit me from the beginning. I had to struggle a lot to adapt, and adapt the driving style. I would like to get back to that consistent Carlos of yesteryear. Clearly last year it was not possible, I was very far behind Max Verstappen in the championship. He, together with Red Bull, were the fastest package: the fastest car; the fastest driver.”
