MotoGp, Maio Meregalli does not forget Marc Marquez
Maio Meregalli urges not to forget Marc Marquez
Maio Meregalli, among other topics he addressed in an interview with ‘La Gazzetta dello Sport,’ also opened up about the candidates for the 2023 MotoGp World Championship, urging fans and insiders not to underestimate Marc Marquez.
“If Marquez is put in a position by Honda to go strong, he will be there,” said the Yamaha team manager. “Last year I saw him sometimes give up like he never did before, but if Honda takes a step forward, he will be the strongest opponent.
After clinching a 125 world championship in 2010 and a Moto2 world championship in 2012, Marc Marquez officially made his MotoGp debut on a Honda in 2013. Already in his first year in the top MotoGP category, he won the championship ahead of Jorge Lorenzo and teammate Daniel Pedrosa. From 2014 to 2019 he won five more World Championships, not triumphing until 2015, the year in which he served as the needle in the challenge between Valentino Rossi and Lorenzo.
