Luigi Dall'Igna analyzes Ducati’s weekend in Portimao

Ducati Corse general manager Luigi Dall'Igna analyzed the MotoGp weekend in Portimao, which è ended with a one-two for the Borgo Panigale manufacturer thanks to Jorge Martin’s GP win and Enea Bastianini’s second place. However, the blue manager, among the various topics discussed, also è dwelt on the contact between Pecco Bagnaia and Marc Marquez, which compromised the race of both.

"We can say that we are always protagonists in the positive, but this weekend also in the negative. A tenacious and fighting Jorge made his own a very hard and difficult race, full of unknowns, managed and brought to the end with endurance and concentration. A well-deserved reward for his perseverance shown throughout the weekend. We got the second step of the podium with also with Enea and for him è a very important result. We are at the beginning of the season and no doubt this result will give him è a lot of confidence" began the general manager as reported by "FormulaPassion".

"C'è great regret for the incident between Pecco and Marc that denied both of them the possibility of gaining important points in view of the championship in a complex race in which they could not play for the victory. Honestly, other comments are completely superfluous. It's been a difficult weekend for Bagnaia, as we couldn't find the square as we did at other times, although in the Sprint everything seemed to be going well until the mistake that cost him the victory. He struggled more than expected and on this track he è never managed to find the right feeling with the bike" added the Ducati manager.

"We must not let our guard down, becauseè we have seen and also already said, but it is good to repeat it, how everyone has improved and come closer to us. Itè will be a very long, exciting championship and all to be experienced together with our fans, race by race. Forza Ducati!" concluded Gigi Dall'Igna.
