Cremonese, official arrival of Marco Benassi
Marco Benassi from Fiorentina to Cremonese
Davide Ballardini will have a new midfielder at his disposal for the second half of the season, in an attempt to make Cremonese’s salvation comeback: he is Marco Benassi, a midfielder who arrives on loan from Fiorentina. This was announced by the grigiorosso club itself, through an official note.
“U.S. Cremonese communicates that it has acquired on a temporary basis from AC FIORENTINA the right to the sports performance of the player Marco Benassi,” reads the Lombard club’s statement.
Benassi, born in Modena on September 8, 1994, has been playing in Serie A since the 2012/13 season: he made his debut with the Inter shirt, the club where he grew up after his early years spent in the Modena youth academy. After the Nerazzurri experience, he wore the uniforms of Livorno, Torino, Verona, Empoli and Fiorentina, totaling 216 appearances and 26 goals in the top division, as well as 16 appearances and one goal in the Europa League.
Benassi also boasts 21 appearances with the Under-21 national team jersey: he finished third at the European Championships in 2017.
