Roma, break up with Zaniolo: Tottenham swoops in on player
On the former Inter Milan player is Antonio Conte’s Tottenham.
Nicolò Zaniolo’s farewell to Roma has never been so close: the former Inter player, who arrived in the capital in the deal that brought Nainggolan to the Nerazzurri, has asked the Giallorossi to be sold.
The player, in his fifth season with the Capitoline club, has more than one suitor on the market but the most determined one is undoubtedly Antonio Conte’s Tottenham. Roma is asking 40 million but above all does not seem to like the possibility of a loan with right of redemption. The Premier League would be a very welcome destination for the 1999 class, who has taken the field 14 times in the current championship, scoring on only one occasion.
On the Giallorossi there was also Borussia Dortmund, which, however, is now a track that seems to have cooled. In addition to Spurs, however, other English clubs such as West Ham and Leicester, all the more so after Fiorentina’s no for Nico Gonzalez, have expressed interest in the number 22.
Zaniolo’s departure therefore seems likely, but first the player is keen to do well in the match valid for the 19th league day against Spezia. In fact, the former Inter player is very attached to the Ligurian city, where his family lives.
