José Cifuentes appeals to many

Jose Cifuentes has entered the crosshairs of several Serie A clubs: the Los Angeles FC-owned midfielder’s contract expires in December and he has yet to reach an agreement with the club for an extension.

Born in Esmeraldas, Ecuador, in 1999, Cifuentes landed in the United States in 2020. Since his arrival in the U.S., he has netted 13 goals in 75 appearances. His natural role is as a central midfielder but he can also be deployed as a midfielder in front of the defense if needed.

Jose Cifuentes made his debut with Ecuador’s senior national team on Sept. 6, 2019, and has worn his country’s jersey 13 times since then. According to the latest rumors from the United States, the player has attracted the attentions of some Italian clubs.
