Molin: “We are serious and deserve respect.”
Molin disappointed
Dolomiti Energia Trentino at halftime was down by 24, towards the end of the third quarter it was down by 6, but could not turn the situation around and ended up losing 77-95 to a Sassari ruthless from the arc (14/26 from three) and good at taking advantage of its 58-point first half. The Bianconeri tried to respond to a first half of great suffering with a third quarter of enormous will and character, dragged by an irrepressible Flaccadori (16 points in the third quarter alone, 22 overall). Arriving at 63-69, however, they came back to deal with their own offensive limitations particularly in three-point shooting and turnovers (18 as a team at the end).
“Sassari played a first half of the highest level in which they put us in extreme difficulty from all points of view,” said Lele Molin: “Upon returning to the court after halftime the team, in the awareness of having played two quarters not up to par, gathered its energy and with a nervous reaction tried to turn the game around. It succeeded until the inertia returned to Dinamo toward the end of the third quarter. But the team is serious and deserves respect, down by 24 it tried until the end with great determination; energy being what it is. We have to stick together and work, there is no other way to overcome difficult moments. I’m sorry we didn’t give a better game to the Trent crowd, who tonight always supported the team until the end.”
