Sofia Goggia congratulates herself on two golds: “They put pressure on me for the downhill…”
Sofia Goggia, out of the top 10 in the Super-G event at the ongoing Alpine Ski World Championships in Courchevel-Meribel, congratulated compatriot Marta Bassino on her gold medal: “Congratulations to Marta! We started with Federica Brignone’s gold in the combined, today Marta. They put pressure on me for the downhill…”
On her performance: “I had a pretty solid race overall, although I made several imperfections, struggling to find the feeling right away. However, I am confident for the downhill.” The downhill event, in which she is favored, is scheduled for next Saturday.
