Ski world reacts emotional to Elena Fanchini’s death
The ski world has been particularly affected by the passing of Elena Fanchini, who died at age 37 after a long illness against cancer.
After Mikaela Shiffrin’s message another U.S. star, Lindsey Vonn, who retired in 2019, wanted to remember Azzurra on Instagram: “This is a huge loss for the great family and the skiing community,” wrote the American, a close friend of Sofia Goggia.
Swedish Olympic champion Anja Paerson on Facebook also wanted to remember Elena by posting a photo of her on her profile.
