Genoa probes a new lead for attack
New lead for Griffon’s attack.
Genoa is continuing to monitor the market ahead of the summer session. After the numerous reinforcements arrived in January, in fact, the Rossoblù management is already thinking about how to reinforce Gilardino’s squad that, with the hope of the whole Genoa environment, could face the Serie A championship next year.
After several names that have been made, including that of Russian giant Artem Dzyuba and that of the French Serie B top scorer Georges Mikautadze, who, however, unlike the former Zenit St. Petersburg man is not free, the latest idea would be that of Scottish center forward class 1995 Lawrence Shankland.
The striker is owned by Hearts of Midlothian and plays in the Scottish Premiership, where in 25 games he has scored 17 goals and served 4 assists. His contract with the Scottish club expires in 2025 but this name could come back into fashion in the summer for Genoa.
