Bode Miller’s words.

Bode Miller also spoke about Sofia Goggia and Federica Brignone in the pages of Gazzetta dello Sport.

“I really like your girls, they have become the team of reference. Sofia Goggia and Federica Brignone paved the way, then the young ones joined and the internal competition stimulated everyone. The Italians have a really American approach to races that makes me love them very much: they always go on the attack, without fear.”

Federica Brignone, a child of art (her mother is Ninna Quario, who was a top skier), was born on July 14, 1990, and is the most successful Italian in the World Cup. Her palmares is of absolute prestige, including three medals won at the Olympics (a silver medal in giant slalom in Beijing 2022 and two bronze medals, in giant slalom in Pyeongchang 2018 and in combined in Beijing 2022), one rainbow medal, one overall World Cup, put in her trophy cabinet in 2020, and three specialty medals (giant slalom and combined in 2020, super-giant in 2022).
