Enea Bastianini goes down flat: his prediction about Ducati
A good start, but one that may hide further progress yet to be made.
Enea Bastianini is not satisfied, and admits that his Ducati can still grow. He does so after the first day of testing at Sepang, which ended with a time of 1’58″732 higher even than Pecco Bagnaia’s. But that could represent only the beginning of a season at the highest level.
“Getting back on a MotoGP was very nice, I had a lot of fun and I was able to get confident with the bike right away,” Bastianini explained. “Then we wanted to work on the differences between the old and the new, doing many laps on both.
It was here that Bastianini found what gives him hope for the 2023 MotoGP championship. “I think the potential of the new Ducati is very high, and for now we have only seen 60 percent of it. Last year’s, on the other hand, has already reached its maximum, while with this one we will need time. Then it will be even better.”
