Olimpia Milano, Messina’s deputy is convinced: “Derby at a high pace”
Messina’s deputy presented the derby against Varese
Olimpia Milano will face off on Sunday afternoon against Matt Brase’s Pallacanestro Varese. High ranking derby given the great championship played so far by the Varese players, who occupy the fifth position, minus eight points from the team led by Ettore Messina.
The meneghini’s assistant coach Mario Fioretti presented the challenge in the press conference on the eve of the game, predicting a challenge at a very high pace: “We are going to play an away derby that is historically heartfelt and of great tradition. Varese is a team that plays imposing very high rhythms and also for this reason boasts the most productive attack in the league. We will have to be good at playing very carefully not only on defense, against a group of highly talented offensive players, but also on offense to make them work and to execute choices that allow our defensive transition to be effective.”
